How it works
Each panel has its own microinverter, converting to AC on the roof. Shade on one panel does not drag down the rest, and the system is easy to extend panel by panel.

Cost
On a simple, unshaded roof a string or hybrid inverter is usually better value. On complex roofs the extra production often justifies microinverters. We quote both where it is close.
