Enphase microinverters in the Balearic Islands

Enphase places conversion and monitoring at panel level. That architecture can suit complex roofs and detailed monitoring, but it should be justified by the layout rather than selected by brand alone.

Where panel-level conversion can help

Multiple roof planes, differing orientations or localised shading can make panel-level behaviour useful. The design still needs a credible shade study, suitable cable routes and equipment specified for the site exposure.

More electronic units on the roof change the maintenance architecture. Ask how faults are identified, accessed and supported locally.

Monitoring and compatibility

The property owner should control the monitoring account. Confirm communications coverage, consumption monitoring where proposed and how batteries or backup integrate with the selected system.

Questions owners ask

Before the survey.

Are microinverters better with shade?+

They can reduce the effect of mismatch between panels, but they do not create energy where shade blocks sunlight. Roof layout and shade analysis remain essential.

Does Enphase include battery backup?+

Not automatically. Storage and backup require compatible additional equipment and a defined design.
