Solar installation in Alcúdia
We work with three broad types of property here, and each needs a different approach:
- The old town inside the medieval walls: traditional houses, tiled roofs, narrow streets and heritage controls.
- Port d'Alcúdia and the beach strip: apartment blocks, holiday rentals, restaurants and hotels, many of which close or scale down in winter.
- Villas on the peninsula and inland: detached houses with pools and terraces, some exposed to wind off the bay.
Panels, batteries and backup in Alcúdia
For holiday homes and rentals, we look at what the property draws while empty: pool filtration, fridges, security, dehumidifiers. A smaller system covering that base load often pays back better than one sized for August. For hotels and restaurants, solar matches the trading season well. Batteries need a specific evening job before we recommend them.
Council notice and registration in Alcúdia
On urban land in the Balearic Islands, rooftop solar normally needs only a comunicación previa (prior notification) to the council under Ley 12/2017. We prepare and submit it. Where your property falls outside that route, we tell you at the survey and handle the alternative. In Alcúdia we check:
- The historic centre: visible panels inside or near the walls may be restricted; we check with the Ajuntament d'Alcúdia before settling a layout.
- Apartment and hotel buildings: shared roofs need the community's or roof owner's agreement.
- Natural areas: properties near protected coastal and natural areas may face extra checks.
What our Alcúdia quotation covers
Every quotation states the system size, expected monthly and annual generation, the named equipment, warranties, and who handles registration and surplus compensation (we do). For Alcúdia it also covers:
- Generation and savings month by month, not just a yearly total
- For rentals and hotels, the occupied and closed months we assumed
- Monitoring and alerts you can check from abroad when the house is empty.
To get started, send a year of bills, the exact location, a few roof photos and whether the property is lived in all year.

Yes. Cooling, kitchens and laundry run in daylight, which suits solar. See commercial solar.
