What solar panels cost in the Balearics

There is no reliable single price per house. Array size, roof access, electrical work, registration and storage change the quote. Published 2025 market examples put five modules at about €4,800, ten at €6,200 and fifteen at €8,500, including standard installation and legalisation. Another current Spanish installer guide places typical Mallorca houses at roughly €3,500 to €6,000 without presenting that as a fixed tariff.

Use ranges as a sense check

These figures are indicative, include VAT only where the source says so and can date quickly. Difficult access, roof repairs, three-phase work, premium equipment, backup hardware and batteries can move a project well beyond them.

Compare quotes by installed kWp, usable battery kWh and included work, not panel count alone. Confirm scaffolding, protection upgrades, monitoring, registration and tax treatment in writing.

Savings depend on timing

IDAE explains that the strongest savings occur when solar generation is consumed directly. Tariffs, surplus compensation, daytime demand and batteries all affect the result. A payback claim without those inputs is marketing, not analysis.

Questions owners ask

Before the survey.

What is the average cost of solar panels in Mallorca?+

Recent published examples commonly place ordinary home systems in the mid-thousands of euros. A site-specific quote is necessary because access, roof and electrical work vary.

Are batteries included in solar panel prices?+

Usually not unless clearly stated. Ask for panel-only and panel-plus-storage options with usable capacity and backup hardware separated.

Can grants be deducted from the quote?+

Not automatically. Eligibility, application timing and payment arrangements vary. Treat any aid as conditional until formally confirmed.
