Mallorca's properties
Palma brings shared roofs, three-phase supplies, shaded streets and little space for inverters or batteries. Calvià and Andratx have more detached villas with pools, heavy cooling demand and salt air. Around Sóller and the Tramuntana, mountain shade and traditional roofscapes matter as much as sunshine. Inland and in the east, around Manacor and Santanyí, fincas add pumps, outbuildings and long cable runs.
How we design for Mallorca
We start with twelve months of bills and hourly data where available. Pool filtration, cooling, hot water and EV charging move into solar hours. Batteries are sized from evening use and any backup need, not villa size. Near the coast we use corrosion-resistant mounting; on fincas we measure the winter sun path and plan maintenance access.
Planning and registration
Urban rooftop work usually follows the comunicación previa route, which we prepare. Historic centres, the Serra de Tramuntana, listed buildings and rural land need closer checks, which we do at the survey. We register the installation and set up surplus compensation.
