Monitoring belongs with the property
The owner should control the monitoring account and receive the login details at handover. Normal production varies with season and weather, so the useful baseline is the design forecast and the system’s own history rather than a single good day.
Alerts need to reach someone who can act. That is particularly important for a holiday home where a communications failure, tripped circuit or battery warning may otherwise sit unnoticed.
A warranty is not the same as a repair plan
Panel, inverter and battery warranties cover different faults for different periods. The handover pack should identify model and serial numbers, commissioning records, electrical certificates and the route for making a claim.
Island support should be discussed before purchase. Access, replacement stock and travel to a remote property can affect how quickly a fault is inspected even when the manufacturer accepts the claim.
